Thursday, Aug 13 - 6 pm.

                          A new Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah class will begin. The class, taught by Rabbi Feingold, will meet weekly or bi-weekly until Rabbi Feingold goes on Sabbatical on Nov 15 and then continue self-directed. The group will prepare for leading services sometime in 2010, date to be determined by the group. One need not seek to participate on the bima to be in the class. Ability to read Hebrew is required, but fluency is not necessary. Prayer fluency is part of the goal of the class. Those who wish to will prepare Torah and Haftarah readings. Please call Rabbi Feingold by June 23 if you plan to join.

Sunday, Aug 23 - 10:00 am.

                                 Temple Tots picnic at Petrifying Springs Park, at the big playground. If you have children from birth to age 5, you are invited to bring the whole family for a lot of fun and a chance to get to know other temple families.                          Congregant-led Shabbat Morning service.

        Wednesday, July 29 - 7:30pm.

                          Erev Tisha B’av services. INSIDE. This very brief, but moving service commemorates the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and other tragedies in Jewish history. The focal point of the service is the chanting of excerpts from Eichah, the Book of Lamentations. Tish B‘av is observed by some as a fast-day.

                           Kabbalat Shabbat and farewell to graduating seniors, Kayla Arbet, Abby Backer, Justin Eisenberg and Melissa Sobin. Barbecue pot-luck dinner following at 6:30pm. Call the Sobins to make a reservation.
